On 16 January 2020 Consul General Mr. Nitirooge Phoneprasert, accompanied by his officers, paid a courtesy call on Shri Vajubhai Vala, the Honorable Governor of Karnataka. At the age of 83,  Shri Vajubhai Vala is still very active in his public life. Throughout his political career in various public portfolios, he has earned a special place in the hearts of people through his generous, modest, and affectionate attitude. 
 
The State Karnataka, with Bengaluru or Bangalore as the state capital which is known as "Silicon Valley of India," has a vibrant IT and industrial sectors  with specific SEZs (Special Economic Zones) for key industries such as IT, biotechnology, and engineering, food processing and aerospace.
