Consul General led the trade delegation from the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to pay a courtesy call on Ms. Wanalee Lohpechra, Deputy Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

On 20 July 2022, Consul General Nitirooge Phoneprasert led the trade delegation from the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SICCI) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to pay a courtesy call on Ms. Wanalee Lohpechra, Deputy Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

Both sides were pleased with the exisiting  bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen trade and investment relations between Thailand and Tamil Nadu. As this year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and India, Thailand looks forward to advance more private sector-led economic activities in areas of mutual interests, including such sectors as energy, EVs, automobiles, technology and innovation, and startups. Moreover, both sides agreed to work together to promote tourism and fosfer technical cooperation and knowledge exchange in business related fields.
